New airport in the South
“New airport in Bucharest in approx. two years”: Bucharest will have a new airport in the south in approximately two years, Realitatea TV informs, quoting Ludovic Orban, the Minister of Transportation. Orban announced at the end of last week that the feasibility study will be completed this summer, with the work set to start next year and finish towards the end of 2010. The project will be financed either from the budget either through a public-private partnership. “Irrespective of the financing method, it will start next year because the tendency to develop the northern area is already obvious and slowly the Baneasa Airport will no longer respect certain regulations and large aircraft traffic will be forbidden.

“An airport in the South area of Bucharest will increase the real estate business”
Author: Catalin Lupoaie | Data: 18 Feb 2008
The prices for the lands in the Southern Bucharest might increase in the next two –three years, influenced by the construction of a new airport as well as the development of the infrastructure in this area due to the lack of space in the Northern area.
The Minister of Transportation announced that a feasibility study in order to build a new airport was initiated in the South of Bucharest. The study will be finished this year, than the Government will include the project in the budget of 2009,thus until 2010 the works to be ready.

I copy all the text from both sources, so as you will be able to have the full overview of the news, as it was presented to Romanian media yesterday. If this project will really happen, then you should hurry up and purchase some properties in good prices today, before people will wake up one morning and will go crazy. Ofcourse there is no need to panic. But I am sure that until the end of summer the prices in the South will have nothing to do with the ones we know now.
As I already have written to you last week, (http://http://www.iliaspapageorgiadis.ro/en/?p=51) I will invest this year in the Southern part of the city. My visit to the North on Sunday made my belief even stronger, as I saw and compared similar lands and locations (comparing North and South) and I really spotted many cases in the North that I could not understand the asked price there.
South will be hot this year. My clients and I will discover all its secrets (as I usually know how to avoid the traps of the crooks) and in some months I will be able to tell you more.

Reading this post now make me smile a little bit. I just hope you don’t have any crying clients.
The new version of your site is better. Just one question, do you participate in a beauty contest? It dosen’t look like a real estate blog! More like a “look at my big smile all over the place” site. Not so sure about it…
