Bear Stearns case: A lesson for many Romanians

As I insist, Romania is not at any danger. This is because the banking system is very well protected and still it is not so influent in the real economy, capturing just a small part (the loans comparing to Romania’s GDP are 5 times lower than the European average). On the other hand, the news about Bear Stearns bank was really shocking. JP Morgan bought it by paying just 2 dollars / stock, while just 6 months ago the price of the stock was 173! This shows that many times in business even the ones who are considered as really strong (and we talk about the fifth biggest investment bank in USA) can collapse like a tower of cards. And here in Romania the lesson is very simple for all these nice gentlemen who have the nose up in the sky, behaving improperly and thinking that because they are good (if they are), the whole world should kneel in front of them: If you are not well organized, if you don’t have a well prepared strategy, in a bad moment you will be out of the game before you can even understand it, before you will have the chance to make any move so as to save your company.
