The President of the National Bank of Romania, mr Isarescu, had announced officially that the expectations for the Romanian economy are very high for the years to come. We are talking for a steady 5 – 6% per year for the next years, which is really impressive, especially if we keep in mind that it will lead to a decade of very high economy’s expansion.
My personal prediction is that Romania will have the biggest GDP of the Balkans by 2013 – 2014, surpassing even Greece (except if the politicians in my country will increase again the GDP artificially, as this happened once last year). Of course even in this scenario the income per capita will be half from Greece (because with same GDP and half population than Romania, Greece will have double income per citizen), but in long term basis, the steady progress of Romania will create an even more business friendly environment for all investors.
This is why I strongly believe that at least for the next 5 years; Romania is the place to be and to invest, having found the right opportunity of course.
