On 25.01.2010, Mr Daniel Nistor sent to me a very interesting email, commenting on my post: I prefer to starve, than to work your way

First of all, congrats for your article being published in Hotnews today. Ihere was a huge debate there and I am sure that you will analyze it carefully.
I will give you the benefit of a doubt and I will presume that you only tried to point out that many of the real estate agents in Romania are not well prepared for this job. And this is true. However, I do expect you to write about each and ever profession, proving that you can find weaknesses everywhere.
I doubt you will do that, and the fact that you only wrote about real estate, and to be more precise, about your competition, proves me that maybe you had also other intentions.
I strongly doubt that you have never worked with professionals in this business, but if you have not, than this is your fault, because you did not know where to find them. Imagine that some of them read your article, and, furthermore, the comments below. Imagine that I would have written the article and you had read it afterwards.
To cut it short, it is the right thing to do to mention that there are real estate agents who know how to do this job, who work the day and don't sleep the night because of the stress, who commit to their EXCLUSIVE client, who are professionals. Otherwise, you will confirm to me that the article is just a way to promote your person as a real estate agent.
Prove me wrong.

I do not reply to Daniel today so as to prove him wrong. I am sure that he does not wait in his life me to prove him right or wrong. But he stressed some very interesting issues, on which I would like to state my case too, addressing to all of you, the thousands of readers since already 2 years now.
When I post articles to other sites, I am not following any debate or whatever else. I am too busy, working. I fully appreciate all the opinions, even the ones who talk bad about me, but I do not intend to open a dialogue with whoever says whatever. We live in a free country and as I express my opinion, someone else can come and agree or disagree with it, understand it or misunderstand it, become upset because he recognized himself in the text or not. Each of us tries to promote his principles in the optimum way he chooses.
I am writing about Real Estate, which is my main occupation in Romania. I can also write about all other professions, but I guess it will be very logical these people to say "so what do you know about our business, you are into Real Estate only". Still I have commented several times about other professions, one can find this by reading older posts. I just want to promote my way of thinking and doing business in the field where I am active and I know a few things (or more). If I will be able to protect someone also, even better. If all these can help another investor, super!
I didn't write about my competition. I wrote, write and will write about bad behaviors, bad professionals and people who hurt the economic environment. Many times I also write about the good ones, with values and advantages. A secret: Between you and me, My company collaborates with tens of serious companies, with whom I am very proud to share common beliefs and way of doing business.
Daniel is 100% right. If I would never have worked with professionals, it would be only my fault. But I did and I am proud I still do. As I describe through many of my stories, there is a serious minority out there, who is actually the hope of this market to become more "mature" and "responsible" in the years to come. After almost 500 million euro of transactions in Romania since 2004, it would be crazy to say that I did all these by myself only, on the contrary. I am always open to new collaborations with serious companies and people.
Yes, there are many people into Real Estate business who are responsible and serious. They have my appreciation and respect. But it is not my fault that these people are nowadays a minority in an "ocean of lovely unserious unprofessionals". If Daniel believes that this is not accurate and that the majority of Romanian Real Estate "involved" people are respected, honest professionals, then we simply disagree.
I am not a Real Estate agent, but the CEO of a company which mainly offers Real Estate brokerage and consulting (among other services). Our official figures for 2009 showed that probably we were among the ones who had good results. I created this blog so as to share my true experiences, things that I live all these years in Romania. Hundreds of people have told me that they had found themselves experiencing the same situations, so at least I am sure I am not the only one who had the… luck to live all these.
