Bucharest metro company Metrorex recently announced the tender for the construction of the sixth metro line in the city, connecting the existing network to the Henri Coanda airport. The estimated value of this contract is of some EUR 1 billion and the new metro line should be ready in 2017 – 2018. The tender will start on September 3 this year. Bulgaria seeks public – private funding for highway connecting Romanian border to Turkey
The Bulgarian government plans to build a highway that will connect the border between Romania and Bulgaria- from Ruse to Turkey as a public – private partnership project, according to the Bulgarian Minister of Regional Development Liliana Pavlova. She said that the investment required for the 300-kilometer highway will be between EUR 500 million and 1 billion, according to international media. Pipera flyover in North Bucharest opens for traffic
The Pipera flyover in the North of the Romanian capital Bucharest was opened on Monday (April 30 ), in time for the higher expected traffic after the official holiday May 1 and just before the local elections, and one year and a half after construction work started.
