Government invests EUR 72 million in modernizing the Constanta and Oradea airports


The Ministry of Transports has signed a modernization project for the Mihail Kogalniceanu airport in Constanta and announced plans to attract EU funds to also modernize the airport in Oradea. Overall, EUR 72 million will be invested in upgrading the two airports, half of which will be EU funds. Over 25,000 tourists are expected to spend the May 1st holiday in one of the local seaside resorts, said on Wednesday Corina Martin, the president of the National Association of Tourism Agencies (NATA). “Last year we estimated that 20,000 tourists will go to the seaside for the May 1st holiday and there turned out to be 25,000.
