I read a very interesting article about the cities that Romanians choose to live in. Bucharest ranks first due to its high salaries, while Timisoara, Iasi and Sibiu are supposed to battle for the next two positions. This discussion is really endless and I am very curious to see who voted and why Cluj is not in the top 3. In my opinion the top 3 cities today for Romanians are Bucharest, Cluj, Timisoara and then Sibiu, Iasi, Constanta and Brasov follow up.

As it is written there, the average gross salary in Bucharest is over 500 euros \/ month (I point out this fact to the recruiters I collaborate with, who always tell me that the minimum salaries of people in Bucharest are much higher). This salary does not represent the reality of February 2008. There are rumours that many companies give to people also \u201cblack\u201d money, so as to avoid taxes, plus low salaries exist today only in the very low segment of the market.
