This weekend the weather in Bucharest was more or less lovely, with the sun creating a nice and warm atmosphere (and the talk of the town to be the new club \u201cPasha\u201d, owned by the famous football player Adrian Mutu, which had opening on Friday). Unfortunately the nature did not have anything good enough, so as to heal the hearts of the ones who invest in the stock market of Bucharest\u2026 On Friday the market was -7.3% down, for many different reasons, having fallen from 9.900 units since the beginning of the year to 6.762, in just 80 days. This market looks unstable and as it is really very shallow the turbulence can not be avoided (the transactions are just few million of euros per day, which means that the liquidity is insufficient).
\nMany of my friends who have invested in the Romanian stock market curse me lately, curse me really badly. The reason? I have asked them since November to cash out from there (I advised the same to my friends who invest in the Greek stock market too and now they also curse me, as the market is also -25%), being afraid of the world economy and knowing some basics I have learned throughout my small 10\u00a0 – 15 years of experience in studying and (much less) investing in stocks. Especially with Romania, the problem looks more serious, as at the moment the country\u2019s stock market has the second biggest fall of prices in the world! This is one side of the coin. Wasn\u2019t it also one of the economies with the fastest growing market, with the stock prices having risen more than 1.000% in the last years? So, it is normal now to experience a more violent crisis, especially because the volume of transactions is really very low\u2026
\nThe first 6 months of this year will be difficult for all the markets of the world, as the experts predict, but especially in Romania this period will be even harder. Let us hope that the worst is on our back and that we will reach stabilization very fast, as the economy is really healthy and after the major losses a new rally will probably start.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
