Green Energy. One of the two anti-crisis weapons that Romania has

We all talk about the crisis and propose solutions we can implement in order to fight it and enter a new cycle of (sustainable) development. Leaving aside the… 22.000.000 different opinions that everyone in Romania has, there are just 2 clear and understandable solutions that the country has: Green Energy and European Grants (for infrastructure and not only).

On Wednesday evening the Romanian Parliament approved the proposed ordinance regarding the subvention for producers of green energy. This is something that the whole market has been waiting for the last three years. So after many different “stories” and delays, we have something concrete in our hands. (Of course we are always ready to be surprised by someone who will try to change the approved status, but let’s hope that everything will be ok this time).

The prices for Green Energy in Romania

5 weeks ago I explained, with details, the scheme of subventions for producing green energy in Romania. You can find this article here.

If you want to read more about the decision of the parliament and the official documents of the ordinance, you can find more information here:

What does Green Energy mean for Romania?

In an economy that was hit by the crisis and it is still struggling to exit, Green Energy represents a great opportunity for growth. If everything will be ok and projects will start being implemented, billions of Euro will enter the country for this reason. Why is that? Because most of the projects will be developed by investors and with foreign banks’ support. New, fresh, money coming in (but also a part of it leaving again, as the country does not have a strong industry for equipment).

As we are talking about hundreds of projects with all approvals, if just 20% of them will be implemented, the construction industry of Romania will restart, plus many other positive changes will occur.

During such a difficult period, Green Energy represents one of the few solid solutions we have in order to fight the crisis. I also agree with the ones who claim that it hides faults as well, but its importance cannot be canceled.

For us, the people who are involved in the Romanian Green Energy market, the approval of the Parliament is an important step for the market to change status. Let’s see what’s next…
