Enel Green Power gets EUR 180 mln loan for wind projects in Romania, US, Brazil


Enel Green Power International will get a EUR 180 million loan from the Export Credit Agency (EKF), owned by the Danish Government, and with Citigroup, in order to finance wind projects in Romania, US and Brazil. The 12-year financing package will be used for the Zephyr I, 120 MW project in Romania and for a 200 MW and a 90 MW park in US and Brazil, respectively. CEZ to finalize 600 MW wind park in Doborogea this year


Czech utility CEZ will have all the 600 MW wind installed capacities in Fantanele and Cogealac parks (Dobrogea area) operational by the end of 2012, according to Adrian Borotea, corporate affairs director at CEZ Romania. Hidroelectrica plans EUR 358 mln investments in 2012


Romania’s hydro power generator Hidroelectrica included in this year’s budget investments of EUR 358 million, up 1 percent from 2011, according to Agerpres newswire. Around 60 percent of the investments (EUR 205 million) come from Hidroelectrica’s budget, while EUR 94 million originate from banks loans, and EUR 59 million from other sources. Hidroelectrica’s estimated revenue for 2012 is down 1.2 percent to EUR 711 million against 2011, while expenses fell by 2.6 percent year-on-year to EUR 699 million this year. CEZ Vanzare aims to sell more electricity this year in Romania, to reach EUR 325 mln turnover


Electricity supplier CEZ Vanzare recorded a turnover of EUR 318 million last year in Romania, almost flat compared to 2010. But this year, it hopes to sell a bit more, targeting EUR 325 million in turnover, or a 4 percent increase on 2011. CEZ Vanzare controls 14 percent of the regulated market in Romania – which includes domestic consumers and some companies that still get tariffs fixed by the Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE).
